"The Turtle"Is Not Conservative Enough. Crazies Next Target Is Senator McConnel.

Now that bonehead is gone McConnell is the next target of GOP extremists. He is not conservative enough. And the crazies want "No compromise/no negotiating leadership. They want a total change in leadership. They want to shut down the government for various reasons. They won't be happy until the Bible replaces the Constitution. Look at their long term agenda.

These other fights are just minor skirmishes. They are after "secular" government themselves. The dirty little secret is that the conservatives are really secret theocrats with their own agenda. Women need to get ready to be no more valuable than the family pet when it comes their rights.

the backlash will be immense. The insanity will be right there up in the face of everyone.

The American populace is not very bright, but they are not going to follow the hard-line theocrats and dominionists. Nnope.

Where was the backlash against Hitler?
Every time we say "oh they've just gone too crazy" they go a little crazier and no one bats an eye. We better figure out a way to appeal to the people who have just checked out and aren't participating because they crazies don't have an enthusiasm problem.

And I think that only about 35% of the country is gullible enough to fall for the theocratic horseshit when it's out in the open.

There are only about 5 baggers in the Senate. No way can they take down McConnell because all leadership positions are party driven.

Only the Speaker of the House is chosen by a vote of the entire membership of the House, which is how a rump of no more than about three or four dozen Congressmen could cause a ruckus and force a Speaker to seek aid from the opposition party in order to retain the gavel, a move which guarantees more say by the minority.

personal power. Not so good for boring stuff like building a legislative legacy, which doesn't seem to be on his list. He had said a number of times that his great ambition was to be Senate Majority Leader, and now he's there. As through the rest of his career, he is accomplishing very little for his state and nation but is enjoying the uses of power.

the possibility of McConnell's may prove unwise because at minimum, these two understood that the government shutdowns accomplished nothing for the country and only hurt the right wing politically.

It didn't help the Newt, or the last crew of baggers.
