On the climate front it is a huge deal since the right wing always excuses their inaction by pointing to China. Combined with the Pope's message on the topic it seems worth hoping that the tide has definitively changed.

Some staffers have quit, a couple of others are going on trial, etc.

Someone else can explain better than I can. I kinda quit listening when she said it was about Paul.

Ran Paul hired some staffers who had worked for another candidate (M. Bachman? don't remember but there was vote hanky-panky in Iowa and the staffers had been involved in it. Rumors have been floating around for a while, I guess the ex-staffers of Rand Paul are going to be charged.
