So I guess Obama has now poisoned the well of cooperation with GOP. You know, the well GOP filled in and covered with concrete 6 yrs ago.

Thank you Mr President. Thank you, you have lead with grace and dignity. You have given us a quiet calm, we can finally breathe again. You have been attacked with filth. Yet you get up every morning and take us another step forward. Me, I thank you for that.

(1,209 posts)Some did not support President Obama during those first six years on constant attacks, all day every day all media.
I am trying to say, why did so many of you fall for the lies and doubt the President to the level that you were ashamed or bashful about being a supporter with that old bs. I support the President, but?
It isn't too late and it is important, budget battle on the horizon.
ps
Why have they shut up with the attacks? It makes me nervous. /s paranoia

(4,309 posts)He has come under so many ridiculous and racist attacks on so many issues that I love him now more than ever!
I will ALWAYS be very proud that I voted for him in 2008 and 2012!

(16,350 posts)I think of all the weight on his shoulders. I don't know how he does it without losing his cool and with his mind always so sharp.
Sending all the best vibes to him and his gorgeous family. I just want to thank him for showing how classy and brilliant a Democratic president can be. He will be missed.

(83,934 posts)I can't and won't leave him. He has been the best and has done so much for this country. He has served with dignity and grace.
He took us from the brink of the worst recession. He never received credit for that. He and his family have been ridiculed and maligned and weathered the most hideous racist attacks. I love my President, has he been perfect? No. He made mistakes, yet he is not a pos, he is no Trojan Horse. People left the voting booth and never looked back, they left him alone to do it all.
Obama "We are the ones we have been waiting for"
WE WE WE. WE ARE THE ONES WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR

I particularly thought this quote was unbelievably perceptive:

President Obama never ceases to be the leader we all need.

He was vilified as a black man. She will be vilified as a woman. Hmmm wonder why, not.
