If 9/11 had happened under a Democratic President?

Would the nation have come together as they did under George W Bush? At least, until he decided to invade Iraq.

Would the Republicans have been as generous as the Democrats in holding off criticisms for the attack?

I don't think so.

They would still be talking about how weak the Democrats are on national defense and how the Democratic President was asleep on the job on 9/11.

In my opinion, we would have never heard the end of it.

First thing they did, within hours of the attacks, was start planning to make political use of it to further their agenda.

We're just lucky that they were so fucking incompetent that they couldn't implement the rest of the "plan" (or pipe dream) to remake the entire Middle East--we could have been in WWIII.
