He's just going to keep ramping up the rhetoric to see how much he can get away with. And the media just keeps egging him on. There HAS to be a breaking point, but I am lost as to what that might be.

He is slowly but surely turning into a modern version of Lonesome Rhodes. However, I am convinced that his followers have lost the ability to discern a 'Lonesome Rhodes' moment, when they happen because they HAVE happened, and the crowd just turn up the volume of their support!!

Surely there has to be a breaking point.

time coming up with valid/reasonable examples of christians being persecuted in the US, other than when some want to force their ways, their religion on others, and someone says NO, you can't do that, all religions are equal in the US.

We handled the WORST two term presidency in American history, 9/11, 2000 selection, Katrina, Iraq, so I figured after that we could maybe handle a black president.

NOPE.

Boy was I dead wrong! And now the Great White Trumpet is bleeting bigotry and all the cave dwellers are coming out in support of getting rid of all those rapists and murders! Whatever non-white color they may be!

I made the terrible mistake thinking that this country had grown up, at least a little, with the 2008 election. The backlash has been tragic, and the reason for the backlash is even more disturbing. I am believing now that we have pased the tipping point and it's already too late to recover.

I have been of this country in my lifetime. I remember thinking 'that's my president' in a way I never had before. I imagine I would've felt that for FDR had I been around, or for Johnson if not for the Vietnam War. But the fact we could actually elect an intellectual, thoughtful president for a change, and be so inspirational across racial lines, imbued me with so much of his hope.

Sadly, I don't expect to have that experience again, because I've not another lifetime to live.

b/c all these guys are dirty and some took maybe million$ in campaign $$ from Trump and no doubt paid him back when Trump wanted something. Trump knows where many of the bodies are buried. That's why other candidates are only making small jabs at him instead of a heavy pounding. Trump WILL out the dirty laundry if the other guy wounds him. So the candidates know a lot of the dirty stuff on Trump, which is probably huge, but don't want to out it due to Trump's retaliation.

My hypothesis, anyhow.
