Anderson Cooper to Moderate First Democratic Debate.

The first — and much anticipated — Democratic debate next month finally has a moderator: CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who hosts the prime-time “Anderson Cooper 360” on the network.

CNN, which is hosting Wednesday night’s second Republican debate, confirmed that Mr. Cooper would be hosting the first Democratic debate, which is scheduled for Oct. 13 in Las Vegas.

Unlike in the Republican debate, where Jake Tapper is moderating two back-to-back debates — one “undercard” with the lower-polling candidates, and the prime-time show — Mr. Cooper will simply have one performance on which to focus.

No word on any likely questions, but with a venue in Nevada, with its rapidly growing Hispanic population, expect immigration to come up.
