"SNIP...............
[Joshua] Goldberg had several online personas: an Islamic radical who was popular in ISIS social media; a white supremacist on hate site Daily Stormer; a feminist on Daily Kos; a radical free-speech advocate on Q&A site Ask.fm, and a sympathizer with GamerGate. Goldberg is also accused of being behind a Times of Israel blog post that called Palestinians subhuman.
Goldbergs trolling turned serious when he was arrested Thursday by the FBI on the grounds that he told a would-be terrorist how to build a bomb meant for a 9/11 attacks anniversary event in Kansas City, Missouri.
It's clear conservative are fervently praying for another terrorist attack on US soil they could pin on President Barack Obama and Democrats. It's the only card they have left to play. And now we're seeing one actively help a would-be terrorist build a real bomb, to kill real Americans, in a real American city.
And for what? So they can get their war on, one that kills thousands more Americans (not to mention countless innocent civilians)?

(23,720 posts)according to some, there simply can't be those type of people out here trolling the internets. Their only mission being- to stir up the shit pot and cause hate and discourse for their own twisted agendas
Nope, it just doesn't happen

And somehow he still had time to post as an "over the top feminist" to help him ridicule social justice.

(167 posts)The article claims the source is blogger Vicki Pate. Unless that is another fake name of this scumbag.

The writer says Goldberg was just one of several people who pointed out the Vicki Pate website to him, and that he had been talking to her already. Whether or not that detail is true, Pate has a significant and disreputable history on the net:

one already had a long track record of hate and incitement, and connections to RW hate speech media....there is a line between free speech hate speech and the law and it is crossed when one actively attempts to use or gives advise on how to build or use an IUD or a missile for example to promote violence and sow fear for political purpose.
Has the RW media crossed the line?

(15,429 posts)HE would have been an NSA hating Chavez loving Bernie supporter.
He could have even been the asshole who sent the letter to bravenak.

(5,082 posts)It was fairly obvious the spike in comments about NSA. There was definitely an organized PR campaign to convince people that NSA was benign. Straight out of 1984.

To some he was an Islamist extremist, to others a radical feminist, to others a neo-Nazi. These are all online identities that seem to have belonged to Joshua Goldberg - but in reality he was none of these things.
They were simply online aliases used to whip up ideological hatred, with seemingly dangerous and even violent real-world consequences. In reality he lives in Florida, spent huge amounts of time online - and has now been arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
But if the allegations now being made against him are true, posing under these fake identities, he seems to have incited others to act abusively and in some cases, to take up arms.
Among the alleged victims was Ben Garrison, an artist living in Montana. Around the time of the 2008 financial crisis he started drawing libertarian-themed political cartoons, lamenting what he saw as the rise of "big government." But he soon found that his work was attracting people he vehemently disagreed with - who seemed to be extremists and white supremacists.
"There was a page on Facebook using my photographs, and all my cartoons, but they were all vandalised with hate and anti-Semitism," he told BBC Trending radio. Fake accounts set up in Garrison's name posted racist messages, and his family was targeted as well. "When I went on there and saw what they were doing I was just abhorred."
