air quality in Fresno area has hit an incredible low with ashes falling like snow 24/7.
the short and long term health effects are something to be very concerned about.

(58,785 posts)as a child and came through on a motorcycle one blazing hot summer day to show the old house to my new husband, but we lived the ashes the next year near Carson City, Nevada when the Sierras were burning on that side. That was only for a couple days, though, nothing like this.

lived in Carson City for a few years as a kid. it was neat then.
then of course my favorite Beefheart tune tells a story somewhat like yours
wonder if they really got busted for "smuggling sponges"? (psilocybin presumably)

(26,602 posts)driving back down 168 through Shaver Lake, Prather, Clovis, Fresno - felt pretty bad for the people living and working there. Hope we can see a cooling trend and some winds to clear that out...
