number of Repukes into thinking he's just an ordinary guy like them. Many are also affected by the same strange virus that overtook Californians who voted for Arnold. They confuse the tv persona with the person. Too many of my fellow Californians thought they were voting for the Terminator, and I suspect Trump voters think they'll have a President who gets things done by sitting in a boardroom and yelling, "You're fired!" People are idiots.

I know, we live in a classless society- in a good way, right? RIGHT.

But seriously, I think part of tRumpf's appeal to the lumpen is that he's not a high class person. He's a peasant with money.

What the brahmins used to call nouveau riche. No matter how much money he has, he will always be a low class person, to use his own almost fixated term.

His father had a lot of money. tRumpf wasn't educated at Andover, Exeter, Groton, St. Paul's, Concord Academy, or any of the many other fine prep schools that scions of wealth shuttle their kids off to for education and the rules of the game. He went to a military school, which is code for he was uncontrollable.

If you were a zillionaire's kid and you chose military school over the happy days at Andover or Exeter, you were an idiot. More likely, his father sent him to military school because he was a little asshole.

I am not saying that fine minds didn't emerge from military high school, to be clear. But no graduate of a good prep school would decorate like that, nor would they be so grotesquely boastful. People learn how to behave from their peers and personality develops from bouncing off of others. I'd love to hear from some of his high school besties. Bet there aren't any.

Me, I could never relax in a place like that. It'd be like living in a museum. I used to wonder who'd buy that stuff but when I saw a cable TV special about Michael Jackson before his death, there he was in an antique shop pointing here n' there saying I'll take that and that and that (same style French antiques) I thought: NOW I know who buys this stuff.

New Money has to show off and be flashy in cars, decorating, clothing, jewelry, and such.

Old Money doesn't give a damn. Old Money is understated and tasteful. Maybe not very hip, but proper. Old Money inherits grandmother's pearls and mom's cashmere coat.

My aesthetic opinion as a non-flashy person:
The painted ceiling is nice but the rest of it is ghastly.
