"First do no harm": Demand that AMA counter the bishops

Headline: Catholic groups turn to court in contraceptive fight
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/health/2018257858_contraception22.html

I posted about this last week, but there was so much else going on, it got lost. I wrote to the AMA to ask why they have been silent about women's health as it relates to the use of contraceptives for both birth control and other medical issues. And why have they made no statement about the Kansas law that lets a doctor lie to a woman about the health of the fetus she's carrying? Since when do they remain silent about bad medical practise? Do they stand for anything at all?

I suggest a letter-writing campaign to the AMA to insist they take a stance for women's health. Their silence violates the Hippocratic oath to "First, do no harm."
