Heres how Donald Trump responded to my essay about him
The bully proves my point.
By Kareem Abdul-Jabbar September 2 at 4:56 PM
.................
This morning, an essay of mine was published titled, This is the Difference Between Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2015/09/02/kareem-abdul-jabbar-this-is-the-difference-between-donald-trump-and-bernie-sanders/ Trumps response to my piece is the best, though inelegant, support for my claims. Here again, he attacks a journalist who disagrees with him, not by disputing the points made but by hurling schoolyard insults such as nobody likes you. Look behind the nasty invective and you find an assault on the Constitution in the effort to silence the press through intimidation. The full text is below.

(3,335 posts)you didn't graduate from the Wharton School of Business, you were able to complete a coherent thought without changing directions 10 times in the process. You didn't have to brag about your accomplishments, every other half sentence, and you didn't have to put someone else down in order to make yourself look good.
I get that Trump supporters are angry. I don't know what the hell they're angry about. They were the ones who bought the B.S. that their party was shoveling. So now they want someone who doesn't need a teleprompter. Well Trump's word salad speech makes Sarah Palin sound like the greatest orator of all time.
So Trump wants to turn what once was the greatest deliberative body in the world, and our democratic process into the WWF. Because if he succeeds in securing the GOP's nomination for the highest office in the land by being a boorish, arrogant bully, he will certainly spawn a next generation of boorish, arrogant bullies. This is a time when our nation needs solutions to what ales America; not some pampered frat boy who needs a new project to work on.
I heard someone today on TV say that Trump had two immigrant wives and four anchor babies of his own. Isn't it a shame how someone whose been given so much is blinded by his own stupidity. Or maybe he's just playing us.

(34,582 posts)I do- the white male is becoming, due to demographics, becoming less and less politically powerful by the day. They HATE that, and know one day some shit is going to come back and bite them in the ass. Hell, we even have a black man in the White House now. This white male is laughing his ass off at them.

And I'm 53, and I hope I'm alive the day that whites are no longer the majority in this country. Cause we haven't done a very good job at being the majority.

(34,582 posts)I wasn't totally clear, and hoped my use of "they" would convey what was going on in my head. I used to be one of them, but I grew the hell up. Things like having a gay sister, a Mexican American wife, and being (at the time) agnostic (at best) probably helped. During the run up to the Iraqui war I really started questioning everything I thought I believed, and realized most of it was built on bullshit and paranoia

One problem with Mr.Trump (and it is hardly the biggest problem) is that he's so easily manipulated.

(1,254 posts)From some writing experts. What does this example say about DT. It would be interesting to say the least. Not even sure this is actually a hand written note. It seems too precise. It could be computer scripted. If so, this would be deceptive. Faking a handwritten note. It is a bizarre way to respond. Can't respond normally, instead crafts this personal attack over the top of the editorial for dramatic effect. Sounds more like a teenage girl, than a mature, corporate business leader.

I would never have figured that that signature represented his name.
BTW - Kareem was not well liked by the press or his teammates when he was retiring. Magic Johnson tried to raise money in the locker room to buy Kareem a Rolls and ..... He ended up paying for it himself. Kareem had a fit when not considered for coaching 3+ years ago. The NBA takes care of career guys but apparently not Kareem.

Never once have I experienced this while listening to Trump's speeches. If anything, I am amazed at how low his level of maturity seems to be, almost as though his emotional growth had been severely stilted at some age.
