That clerk is making a great financial move. She will have all her expenses paid by RW religious fundamentalists. There will be a national fund for her and she will probably end up a millionaire with all the donations that will be sent. She will probably not see a single hour in jail because of the propaganda generated if she were jailed. It would justify the claim of religious persecution.
And religious persecution will be played 24/7 to bring the base out. And the GOP will be shouting from every roof top in support of the religious extremists. Of course the media will help as well.
