RWers are pissed. Mark Zuckerberg Quietly Funneled $992.2 Million To Planned Parenthood

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla have donated Facebook shares valued at $992.2 million to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation in Mountain View, California. One of the groups supported by the foundation is Planned Parenthood. How do we know this? They were outed by an outraged Right Wing Nut Job blogger last year. Ha!

This isn’t actually a new story. Another liberal blog reported this last year, but it didn’t get a lot of attention. Now everyone’s talking about it for some reason and that’s awesome. Especially now that we know how badly it’s pissing off the nutjobs.

The story is probably getting a lot of attention because Zuck and his physician wife are expecting a little girl. They struggled to conceive and carry a pregnancy, and they totally “get it.”

Why am I writing about this old story that everyone else has already covered? Because I have a motive! An idea.

Know what I think the conservatives should do? BOYCOTT this terrible person who donated this money to BABY KILLERS. Yeah that’s right. Boycott him, patriots! Get off of Facebook ASAP. Make sure that not another dime that you helped Zuckerberg earn goes to Planned Parenthood.

Of course, if they did, they would just spam everyone on their contact with list "FW: FWD: FW: FWD: FWD: RE: FWD: FWD: if you agree forward it, if you don't, delete it." followed by some nonsense supposedly written by the first cousin of someone's sister-in-law who is currently serving in police force or in Iraq or some other crap.

They can't seem to comprehend by the second or third forward, everyone and their mother has seen or read the stupid thing.

4. Misleading headline

I highly doubt PP got anywhere near the entire amount, that's not how community foundations work. In fact, following the click-throughs at the link takes you to a couple sources including a RW source that shows the specific amounts the foundation donated to PP and it is just a small percentage of the value of the Zuckerberg's donation. Not to mention that this type of foundation doesn't just cash out the stock and donate it directly in order to 'quietly funnel' someone's money anonymously to a charity - they keep a massive portfolio and use the income from the portfolio to donate a certain amount each year to a long list of charities.

FTR, I'm not trying to make a point other than this: Accuracy matters. I fucking hate misleading click-bait headlines. This makes it sound like PP got nearly a billion dollars from the Zuckerbergs. Which I believe is an attempt at a RW smear, meanwhile this liberal blogger is taking up the cause and spreading misinformation, even less accurately than the RW source itself.
