Of course, what he REALLY wants is to go play catch, but that is off limits today!

1. Any word from the vet on if there may have been more than heat exhaustion?

Those symptoms you described yesterday were heartbreaking. I am so glad he is back to being himself.
I lost a fur baby not too long ago and those symptoms had my heart on the floor.

I hope they check him tail to snout just to make sure.

Maybe you can play a game of "sit catch" with him in the kitchen, I used to do that with my Jester when it was bad weather outside, he did not like the stationary tamed down version of the game but got to keep his mouth ball coordination in practice and it was better than nothing.

I am very relieved to hear he is well, I can honestly say I know from experience how you felt when it was all happening and there is no describing it save to say that it must have been traumatic for you as well and hope you are doing okay too.

4. He has a physical on Monday with his regular vet, and we will be checking him over completely!

Someone suggested testing him for EiC (exercise induced collapse). I trust Donnie implicitely. He is our neighbor & friend as well as our vet. I am sure he will see to it that Jakie is taken care of!

I hope NEVER to have to go through that again..... : (
