If you want an insight into Trumpism

watch HBO's miniseries Show Me a Hero. It is about Yonkers NY being sued to force them to build public housing in areas of the city that previously never had them. People in Yonkers were upset, to some extent legitimately about public housing. The reputation of that housing wasn't very good. But instead of being responsible, many politicians pandered to the fears. Alfred Molina wonderfully plays a full out demagogue who runs for mayor saying he would appeal the decision that forced them to build the housing. Of course he becomes a Republican. So yes, Trumpism precedes Trump and the GOP embracing racist demagogues predates him too.

of course it would be. The producer is the same who did "The Wire" and "Tremaine".

3. well yeah it has a great pedigree

but for me the parallels with Trump are compelling. They must be praising the fates for letting their miniseries show while the whole Trump thing is unfolding.
