Anyone catch Dan Rather on Maddow?

First the old clips of Mr. Rather questioning Nixon and then of him at the Democratic National Convention were pretty cool.

But Mr. Rather had a very good point about the Fox vs Trump "feud" - that it is manufactured in a way that mutually benefits them: Fox gets to say they don't give preferential treatment to any one candidate (*cough*bullshit*cough*) and Trump gets to say that he is 'independent' of Fox.

Watching Dan Rather (esp the old stuff) made me really miss what journalism should be.

That's been pretty pervasive on MSNBC, so I have to think it's coming from the top. merrily Aug 2015 #2

We love people like Maddow because we were so hungry for voices in broadcasting that were not rightist. However, MSNBC hosts toe the line or they're gone, like Donahue, Olberman, Cenk and Schultz' and even Shultz crossed the picket line.

At this point, I think MSNBC is changing back to Fox Clone again. In about Dimson's sixth or seventh year in office, they gradually changed from all right (mostly) to much more left. Now, it looks as though they are returning to the right, under the guise of going more to "news."

Fox does better in the ratings with a Democrat in the White House.

So Trump could get nominated, then Fox will sit on their hands and let Hillary win.
