Kentucky Clerk: It's My Job To Tell Gays They're Going To Hell
Submitted by Brian Tashman on Wednesday, 8/26/2015 1:20 pm
As we reported, local Kentucky official Casey Davis said in a radio interview earlier this week that he will defy a court order to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples even if it takes my life. The Casey County clerk also told West Virginia radio host Tom Roten on Monday that he believes that, as a Christian, he should be exempt from performing such job duties because his religion requires him to not only oppose same-sex marriage but also to tell gay people that they are going to Hell unless they repent and get washed in the blood of Jesus Christ.

I have no idea where these morons get the idea that they have any kind of power to do anything. He's not performing a marriage, he's pushing the paper.

It is a long held belief by some Christians that they will be able to observe the torment of the naughty from heavenly box seats.
This is, of course, the best way to serve up that bullshit. After all, what is the point of telling someone they will experience unimaginable torment for all eternity if you don't get to watch it and yell "SEE?!? I TOLD YOU SO!!"

(34,137 posts)If he believes this stuff so strongly then his "God" will take care of him as he deserves. If that means he starves to death for lack of a paying job, then it is his "god's" will.
But he should not expect the tax payers to support him in his bigotry.
