WTF now a fire is named the Democrat fire in california

I see that its close to a place named Democrat gulch but come the fuck on. This just looks to smear the name Democrat I know theres other landmarks to name something this destructive.

Its close to Weaverville I hate to see anyone get burned out by these even rethug assholes.

The Democrat Fire is currently burning in the Democrat Gulch area off Oregon Street in Weaverville. There is a hard road closure on Oregon Street at Democrat Gulch to the top of Oregon Mountain.

According to Cheryl Buliavac, Public Information Officer with CAL FIRE, the Democrat Fire has burned 50 acres as of 4:46 p.m., and is burning northwest towards Highway 299 and Oregon Mountain.

Fortunately, it's going away from Weaverville. I'm surprised the Tea Party people, and there are many of them around there, have not objected to the "Democrat" name. If there's anything scary, destructive, smelly, obnoxious, dangerous, etc. they will want credit for it.

4. Fire update

I just talked to my wife, and she says they're hitting it hard because it's so close to Weaverville. She has seen a lead plane, two air tankers, and a helicopter. She said they saw a couple buildings go up, although she didn't think they were houses. The winds are shifting, as they do most days, and the fire burned toward Weaverville for a while, but now the smoke is going straight up. Of course, they're evacuating the areas that lie uphill from the fire, and that means Oregon Mountain, where there are some million dollar homes.
