Ohio Bill Would Ban Abortion if Down Syndrome Is Reason

And those Repuke jackasses are going to fund programs to help parents cope with this. Sure.

http://readersupportednews.org/news-section2/318-66/31984-ohio-bill-would-ban-abortion-if-down-syndrome-is-reason

The legislature is expected to approve the measure this fall because lawmakers endorsed by the National Right to Life Committee, which supports the bill, make up more than two-thirds of both houses.

Gov. John R. Kasich, a Republican who is running for president, opposes abortion but has not yet taken a position on this bill. Since his election in 2010, he has signed a variety of abortion restrictions, including a law requiring women to have an ultrasound and be offered a chance to see an image of the fetus before undergoing the procedure.

But I do know that if a Republican wants something they just make up a new law that entitles them to it. They've gotten around Roe for years now, with threats to doctors and state laws that are unconstitutional. Then it takes years for it to go through all the courts leaving how many women during that period with children they are unable to care for.

They cheat the system and corrupt the constitution to get their way.

It's enough that she doesn't want to carry the fetus to term. Besides that, why is it not okay to abort a fetus with Down's, but just fine to abort a fetus with any other birth defect? This is so stupid.
