(13,390 posts)Embedded in it is the fact that men take more physical\health risks and do more physically demanding work.
Ultimately that trend says nothing about the statistical probability for a given individual's longevity. Their family and health history along with current health indicators (age, for example) are more telling.

Have politicians become such cults of personality that the prevailing belief is that they will live forever?
