Sometimes I think we are saved from many terrorist acts by the sheer incompetence of those attempting to kill us.
A new case in point, and not to take away from the bravery of those men that overpowered this guy on the high speed train from Belgium ...
after they disarmed and captured the would-be terrorist, and took away his AK-47, one of the rescuers ....
Mr. Skarlatos, the AK-47 in hand, began to patrol the carriages, looking for other gunmen. He made a series of startling discoveries: The suspects guns had malfunctioned, and he had not had the competence to fix them.
He had pulled the trigger on the AK. The primer was just faulty, so the gun didnt go off, luckily, Mr. Skarlatos said. And he didnt know how to fix it, which is also very lucky. In addition, the gunman had not been able to load his own handgun: There was no magazine in it, so he either dropped it accidentally or didnt load it properly, so he was only able to get what appeared to be one shot off, Mr. Skarlatos said.

(23,946 posts)the white media will make excuses for the white killer and do no searching for connections - there is xenophobia and fear of the brown man to spread after all...so as to keep the fear alive for the white folk.
Logic and evidence must not stand in the way!

For instance, the black man who killed 12 Navy employees at the Washington Navy Yard is not considered a terrorist. He wasn't motivated by politics, it was just madness.

(16,199 posts)Since you are the only one arguing that they are not - what do you consider them?

(16,199 posts)To load it the guy would have needed to rack the action - it's the same to clear a misfire.
More likely the guy, having no combat training, just froze up once the gun jammed. Someone is running at you and your weapon just failed to fire - that is the epitome of an Oh Shit moment!
