Seriously, there needs to be a psychiatric evaluation in the hiring process. We're freaking giving them guns and our trust and letting them walk amongst society.

I wonder if the corrupt police union who bails these disgusting cops out and gives them retirement have anything to do with the training they receive because not only is this shit just too stupid, it kills.

WTF.

What kind of training are they receiving and is there any oversight!? This is totally systemic because it seems to be happening everywhere.

Sandra Bland is not listed there for some reason, though there are 28 other "deaths in custody" documented.

All told, there are over 742 deaths documented for the year.

You are dead on. They need psych evals on these guys.

For pity's sake, think! They have the wife right there! She wasn't going to go anywhere. What was the guy gonna do, drive off and leave his wife in custody? Even if he did, she'll know where he's going.

Murder in my book...,

It's called the "force continuum". Any non-compliance (even legal non-compliance) must be meet with escalating force. A psyche evaluation would be used to exclude people who wouldn't murder people for non-compliance.
