Now, this is interesting.
Washington (CNN)The Republican National Committee is running a secret war room to take out Donald Trump's presidential campaign.
Or so says Roger Stone, the former Trump political adviser, who still supports Trump.
Stone told CNN that he's absolutely convinced the Republican Party is trying to knock the celebrity billionaire out of the race because he's not the candidate of the establishment elite.
"I talk to a lot of reporters on a background, and sometimes off the record, basis. Sometimes, when I say to them, 'Where did you get this hit piece of information on Trump?' They'll tell me, 'Oh, a source at the Republican National Committee.' Come on. This is the game. It's the way it works," Stone told CNN's John Berman Wednesday.
Stone even predicted that RNC Chairman Reince Preibus "will deny this if anybody even bothers to ask him about it."
Well, we bothered. And at least on that point, Stone was right on. The RNC dismissed Stone's allegation as a conspiracy theory.
"It's located at Area 51. Elvis runs it," RNC spokeswoman Allison Moore told CNN, tongue firmly planted in cheek.

HHmmmm.
Donald Trump has just lanced a bulging abscess of crazy-scary idiots, and there is no doubt about it. But they were already there in frightening numbers before Trump showed up at this party a couple of months ago.
He has also lured all the other GOP candidates into ludicrous and destructive rhetoric, and exposing all of them to widespread public scrutiny of their positions. He represents the Id of the current GOP. He has upended the grand plan for the nomination that Establishment types have spent billions cultivating.
Cleaning out a cesspit is a nasty job.
Sure, he is a demagogue.
But, he might be doing us a favor.

(23,946 posts)1. Does CNN have a pro-Trump, pro-fascist, pro-Netanyahu war room? With Blitzer and Zucker heading all meetings?
You can all thank Bill Clinton for Trump throwing his hairpiece into the ring when both he, the lying mass media and former Republican Party all have a final meltdown.

knowing the republican brand is still a loser when it comes to the general public perhaps they have figured that just on celebrity alone there are enough low, to zero information voters, both registered democrat and republican who will just vote for the Donald because he's the Donald.
