MSNBC is going to ride the Trump horse as far as they can ride it...

Reportedly, Morning Joe's ratings are up 31%. They seem to have Donald Trump on their show every morning.

They have fired some of their "more liberal" hosts, ie, Joy Reid, Alex Wagner, and Big Ed. They are making a conscious decision to move right, in my opinion.

They see Donald Trump as a potential "sugar daddy". And they are going to milk it for all it is worth.

Trump has been complimenting all the hosts on MSNBC. Joe has been extolling his virtues. He told Mika yesterday that he would pay her "more" money. He sent word to Chris Mathews, by a reporter that had just met with him, how great he thought Chris was. He is doing a major suck-up job with MSNBC reporters and they are lapping it up.

He had the Apprentice shows on for years. NBC also owns the golf channel, which oftentimes features Trump and his properties. They broadcast his toutnament, I think.

One hand scratches the other.

He is leading in both first and second choice which is a real problem for his opponents. It means as weaker candidates drop out he is as likely to remain in the same position relative to remaining candidates as to have the remaining candidates gain on him. If he were leading by double digits but the second choice of pretty much no one else, that would be no big deal, that would make him Herman Cain. But since he is also the second choice leader as people like Perry, Paul, Cruz, etc drop by the wayside he may well still be leading by double digits over the people who remain. If he can get to the place where he is the non establishment and the establishment has two candidates left (say any two of Kasich, Walker, Bush, and Christie) he could be in the drivers seat. He is no sure thing, but he isn't Linsay Grahm.

going on at MSNBC.

Since they did their recent shake-outs (Ed & others) have you noticed they are carrying a Republican strategist or consultant on just about every show, and on just about every night.

Last several nights, Lawrence O'Donnell has added a Republican to just about every panel (David Frum last night) and so have Chris Mathews and Chris Hayes.

channel. I barely watch any news on TV any more. If I want to watch RW propaganda I could watch Fox.

Heck they could get better ratings if they took Trump on and put him in his place. But kowtowing to him makes all the MSM look like weak sycophants.

It sucks that MSM is dumbing down the news for the clueless.
