Appeals Court Tosses Sheriff Joe Arpaio's Lawsuit Against President Obama

The DC Circuit Court of Appeals just smacked Sheriff Joe Arpaio on the nose with a rolled up newspaper and sent him back to Arizona.


The U.S. Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit has sent Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio packing, ruling he cannot sue President Obama over his immigration executive orders.

A three judge panel unanimously upheld the judgment of a lower court that said Sheriff Arpaio had no standing to sue the president because the "harm" he alleged amounts to speculation.

Arpaio sued President Obama over two executive orders that changed immigration policy, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) commonly known as "The Dream Act" and the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans, (DAPA) which allows parents with American citizen children, often called "anchor babies" to stay in the U.S.

The sheriff claimed he was harmed by President Obama's executive orders, because DACA and DAPA encourage people to illegally cross the border, thereby, increasing crime in Arizona......................
