Fraternities and sorities are the same everywhere. I understand this was not a thought out video but if you think that they are different regionally, they are not. Shut them all down but not just the south but everywhere even Washington, D.C.

made a very earnest post about her daughter getting accepted into an organization and how important that it was. At first I thought she was talking about an elite school. It turns out she was taking about a sorority. I just don't get it.

none of this surprises me. Pretty standard. Also the reason I left the sorority life after 2 years.

they had a token brunette or two. I would not want to get the bill for the Miss Clairol Golden Blonde #4 for that place.

I guess pixie cuts and bobs are about as forbidden as being overweight. Not sure why anyone would want to be a part of that kind of thing. Thirty-plus years out of college, and I still don't understand the attraction to "Greek" life.

was to party, party, party; find a trophy wife/husband; and establish contacts with other rich people to maintain the "proper" status in society.

The purpose of a thing is explained by its advertisements. Everything else is rationalization.

If it fulfills their expectations, and does no one harm, it's their business not mine.

It seems akin to middle-aged men sitting on a couch drinking brewskis and binge watching the tube.

I have the same attitude towards both groups: If that's what you want out of life, you've got it.

I've sought something more from my too few hours.

Greek life is a scourge. We had an 18 year old kid die of alcohol poisoning right before Christmas last year. A few months later, his brothers whined that the fire marshall "targeted" them for all sorts of violations, meanwhile they had just let one of their "brothers" die a very preventable death.
