I saw a story on Rawstory that FOX mocked Carter

these people have no shame and what really irritates me is that Carter was way ahead of his time, Reagan sold the country out in the short term, standard of living in this country has declined for everybody but the rich since Reagan made the GOvernment the enemy when it was business and Keynesian economics that lead to amazing growth until 73, the Economy ( oil and inflation) started under Ford, cannot remember the book ( a Chalmer Johnson) but Robert Gates, a Republican, gave Carter the credit for for the demise with the Soviets, with his sanctions, but this country loves fluff instead of reality

1. Carter really was ahead of his time - Looking back, I think he was

done in by a media pile-on. He and his staff were repeatedly portrayed as rural buffoons. Of course, everything he did got the same treatment. If the Web had been in place back then, I don't think the character assassination would have worked. Carter could have contacted his supporters directly.
