Has Obama's FDA appointment been discussed?

Obama has appointed Michael Taylor as senior advisor to the commissioner of the FDA. This is the same man that was in charge of FDA policy when GMO's were allowed into the US food supply without undergoing a single test to determine their safety. He had been Monsanto's Vice President and chief lobbyist. Thanks to Obama, he is now America's food safety czar. It's putting a fox in a hen house.

For me, the downhill slide started with Rick Warren and has only gone down from there. No point in even thinking about it, really.

yes. A lot of people were up in arms about it. Then when it was brought up again a few years later, and I'm sure you'll get traction with this again. He also worked for the USDA before he worked for Monsanto (mid 90s under Clinton).
