Adblock is working again!

I tried Adblock again, after switching from Microsoft "edge" back to Internet Explorer.

And it's working!

The ads are gone!

I just hope it continues, I was so sick of the ads, especially the ones for right-wing activists and websites.

I don't really care about the ads themselves. With rare exceptions I completely ignore them without even trying.

But the site loads rather slowly lately and I wonder the ad graphics and blinky things are part of that.

The Internet is just swamped with ads.

For some of the most vile things, I saw one ad for that web site that lets spouses cheat on their SO's, "discreetly."

It keeps videos from popping up and playing on their own. If you would like to be able to choose what to watch - for example a news clip that you'd rather read than have some talking head read it to you - get Flash Block.

I got until 2016 to download it, but I'm waiting for all the bugs to be eliminated. (at least most of them).
