It looks like MSNBC has completely jumped the rails

Bad enough that they replace Ed with the Toad, but now it appears they have gone all Trump all the time. They have suspended normal programming to await a Trump press conference, and have a camera focused on an empty podium. I have never seen this done for anyone but a POTUS.
Will this FINALLY be enough to get me to cancel my cable? (Um..I dunno…football is starting…mehhh..)

In the Iowa Primary (the first National Primary),
Obama finished first
John Edwards finished 2nd,
and Hillary finished a distant 3rd.

As a liberal supporting a National Health Plan, I was watching Edwards,
and was excited to tune in to Rachel and Olberman to hear a discussion
of the implications of Edwards beating Hillary soundly in Iowa...
but guess what?

Neither Rachel nor Keith mentioned John Edwards name...NOT ONCE
They didn't even mention that he finished 2nd to Obama,
or beat Hllary.

The ONLY thing both of them did was promote the Obama /Hillary Horse Race.... and Edwards got in the way of their script, so they ditched him,
and it didn't take the Democratic Party much longer to ditch him too.

If cheating on one's wife were a disqualification for President,
we wouldn't have had very many Presidents,
except maybe Carter.

and you are correct that Edwards was being pushed off the stage before the infidelity.
I loved Elizabeth, and am still angry with Edwards for cheating on her,
but when did cheating on your wife become a disqualification for being a Democrat?
I don't plan on marrying my president.
I just want him to be MY advocate in government (or the courts)
and he has done that well, cheating or not.

Do all those who spew venom at Edwards hate JFK or FDR too?

Of course, I meant the Iowa Primary.

Democratic caucuses
Iowa Democratic Caucus, 2008 Iowa

Of the eight major Democratic presidential candidates, then-U.S. Senator Barack Obama of Illinois received the most votes and was ultimately declared the winner of the Iowa Democratic Caucus of 2008, making him the first African American to win the caucus.[1] Former U.S. Senator John Edwards of North Carolina came in second place and then-U.S. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York finished third

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election_in_Iowa,_2008

Not a single mention of Edwards finishing 2nd was mentioned on MSNBC, Rachel or Olberman.
It was ALLLLLLLLLLL about the Obama HIllary Horse Race.

That was the last time I consciously watched MSNBC.
After that night, I realized, as much as I liked them, they took orders from the Head Office too.

How in the f**k do you have a "News Broadcast", and not mention the name of the person WHO finished 2nd, while spending 30 minutes on 3rd Place?

I don't feel I've missed out on much - if any, news. And I am no longer frustrated by a) never hearing News about important issues ie: TPP/Net Neutrality and b) what they do discuss - all the "he said-she said" crap just pissed me off.

I'm down to just two now: Chris Hayes and Rachel Maddow.

I dropped Melissa Harris-Parry this weekend when she approved of the two women who took the microphone out of Bernie Sanders' hands in Seattle. Politics aside, their crass behavior was inappropriate. It was not a Bernie Sanders event - it was a Medicare event at which Sen. Sanders was an invited speaker. They were rude to Sen. Sanders, they insulted an otherwise friendly audience, and they did the BLM cause no good. They didn't interrupt the local politicals who spoke, but waited until a speaker who would get national coverage came to the podium. So, the suspected narcissists got their faces on national TV; I guess they call it a success.

Meanwhile, the groups that should be confronted (local police organizations) go on about their murderous ways with no challenges by BLM.
