Fiorina is "Pro-Life" yet against paid maternity leave

http://www.rawstory.com/2015/08/carly-fiorina-is-so-pro-life-that-she-doesnt-believe-believe-in-paid-maternity-leave/

snip:
Republican presidential candidates like Carly Fiorina openly object to the notion of laws guaranteeing paid maternity and paternity leave, which would benefit families greatly, but they never hesitate to profess their love of protecting non-viable zygotes. Her “proud pro-life” rhetoric is as laughable as her unsuccessful stint at Hewlett-Packard.

Doesn't such contradiction in logic eventually lead to spontaneous combustion?

pre natal care, or anything she can save a dime on for the 1%

after all, if you are dumb enough to be born into a poor family, it is symptomatic of your poor decisions and you need to be punished.

Wonder what a poll here would say.

I know married people will think it is totally fair for them to get paid for not working, while I have to work for my money, but I tend to disagree.

You want paid time off? Take the same sick leave and vacation that everybody else can. (at least those of us fortunate enough to have paid leave for that, which isn't every worker in the US).

or her parents.

And, of course, the paid leave will goto a whole bunch of people who don't really NEED it, but still will be happy to collect their freebies - paid by those of us who don't get said freebies.

Because they don't have kids. Caring for the youth is a social good, like paying for the fire department and roads and mass transit. If those children aren't properly cared for, they're not going to be capable of paying for your social security and health care and staffing your hospital and nursing home when you need it in your dotage. Think of it that way if you can't do so out of basic altruism

Like all the other candidates.

Not that they'll budget a dime for pre-natal care, or food stamps, or child care, or parenting classes, or Head Start.

They care only for the woman to push her man's baby out at exclusively her risk and cost.
