"I’ve had enough Kardashians. I can’t take any more Kardashian stories on this show."

TV Anchor Rants Against Kardashians, Walks Off Set: "I’m Sick of This Family"

The Hollywood Reporter
The Hollywood Reporter
August 10, 2015
A Good Day Orlando anchor decided he couldn't stand to talk about the Kardashians any longer and walked off the set of a live broadcast on Friday, when faced with reporting that Kylie Jenner has a new rabbit named "Bruce."

"I am having a good Friday, so I refuse to talk about the Kardashians today," said news anchor John Brown. You are on your own, Amy. I can't do it."

He walked off of the set and said, "I’ve had enough Kardashians. I can’t take any more Kardashian stories on this show."

A replacement anchor came in and the trio left on camera and tried to talk Brown down from his rant, as he left his microphone on and shouted from off-camera. "I don't care about this family. I’m sick of this family. It’s a non-story!"

Did not want to distract us from actual news with yet another shiny thing?

Refused to continue to participate in the dumbing down of America, which may well be deliberate?

OMG, we have a real Presidential candidate AND a member of the msm with a shred of integrity at the same time?

You never know what can happen.
If she falls into my passenger seat, I will probably recognize her now,
and make her get out at the next corner.

She is beautiful in her own way, but when I look at her I see too high maintenance and self-absorption.
She would probably refuse to dig potatoes in the Fall, clean the chicken coop, clean "pasty butt" off of a sick chick, or help with any of the work around here.

I wouldn't trade my partner, friend, and wife (all the same person) for 100 Kardasians.
I know their show is called "Keeping UP with the Kardasians" (I've seen it in the listings),
but, honestly, they are the very LAST people in America that I want to "keep up with."

Sad to say, he will probably lose his job unless the viewers make a big fuss about keeping him.

I figure it's just the train wreck mentality. All these "reality" shows with Hollywood people, musicians, athletes, mob families... Not to mention the hillbillies, pageant queens and religious freaks. The parents of super-sized families and little people families...

It's all just so people can sit back and say "my family's nuts, but they aren't that bad".

The only "reality" show I watch is Face Off, and that's only because the contestants aren't allowed to sabotage each other, or talk trash (well, there has been a little dissing of some contestants, early on, but I think that was stopped). In fact, there have been many instances where some gave help to their competitors, which was nice to see.

He draws a distinction between working for a news organization, and being an employee of the entertainment industry.
