Afghanistan: Peace in shambles following series of deadly attacks, residents seek resolution

Locals stand near the scene where a massive truck bomb devastated a residential area, levelling local businesses and homes in Kabul.

Dozens of people have been killed and hundreds more wounded in Kabul after three devastating attacks over a 24-hour period, the bloodiest in years, rocking Afghanistan's capital.

While all three attacks appeared aimed at army, police, and international forces, Afghan civilians bore the brunt of the terror.

Due to the scale of the destruction, the total number of casualties is likely to remain unclear for some time.

On Saturday, a day after a massive truck bomb detonated in a residential area near an Afghan National Army base, one local resident sifting through the rubble at the blast site said he had been unable to locate two of his friends and feared their bodies were still trapped underneath the collapsed buildings.

And some naive people think the taliban terrorists can be involved in running the place.

"peace" is in shambles. It seems more like RICH warmongers are looking for the war they can't get in Iran. You can get a copy of Bernays' Propaganda published in 1928 - the assumptions of the rich and talented tenth about the masses is truly revealing. http://www.voltairenet.org/IMG/pdf/Bernays_Propaganda_in_english_.pdf
