KUALA LUMPUR MALAYSIA - A Magistrate's court has fixed Aug 27 for re-mention and submission of documents in the case of a former Sabah model who is accused of stripping at Petaling Street.
.
According to the hospital's psychiatric evaluation, which was read out in court, Persana Avril Sollunda, 32, was "unsound" at the time of the April 23 incident during which she removed her bra and top after failing to pay an RM18 (S$7) bill at a chicken rice shop.
However, she has been deemed stable and fit to stand trial at this juncture.
The trial is slated to take place from Jan 11-13.

(16,847 posts)Some of them, anyway. But I guess the reason we have laws against such things is that we wouldn't get to pick and choose between the attractive and not-so-attractive.

(22,651 posts)That's about right for a take out order of Chicken Fried Rice here, but than again, San Francisco is more expensive than most places!

(41,835 posts)the San Francisco Chinatown (Zhonggou Cheng) is to visit those bakeries that sell, on the side, broken fortune cookies. Of course there are no fortunes, but they come in a big plastic bag and will last you weeks. I love that yummy vanilla taste, and they go great with ice cream!

(41,835 posts)though bending on one knee on a cable car while holding on, and on to the ring box must have been difficult!

(53,339 posts)One of my favorite places in San Francisco is the Buena Vista Cafe, which has a good view of the end of the line cable car turnaround. Their GREAT, world renowned Irish coffee has nothing to do with my opinion, I'm sure.

(53,339 posts)It's just good coffee, Jameson and turbinado sugar. But I can't duplicate their whipped cream topping, which is thick and sticks to the sides of the glass so every sip goes through it.

(78,249 posts)Neither do any of their competitors. The Buena Vista bought up the manufacturer's entire inventory and stashed it in a warehouse in the East Bay!

(41,835 posts)In San Francisco most Chinese places deliver. If I want fortune cookies, I ask for them. Sometimes I ask for more than just 3 (they come in a bag with three of them.) and since the guys know me, they will bring me extras. Still, I would rather go to the bakery near by and grab those large bags of broken cookies. Those will last a month!

(41,835 posts)Asia has a lot of food venders. Visit Tokyo and you will even find them there. Not all the food is bad nor poorly cooked. The vendors and their food is inspected by the local municipalities. In Indonesia there are many venders selling Nasi Lemak, which is a dish consisting of rice fried in coconut milk, with veggies and meat. I would love to try it there, as I have had it here.
In Thailand there are little boats on the rivers that sell and serve hot meals.
When in Rome...ne?

(41,835 posts)The woman who stripped was probably chased off her food cause she didn't pay for it. The Venders wanted her to pay for the food, and she claimed that she did pay for it, but who knows if she did. I saw no one in the video stripping or standing over any food.
