So whoever plays best to that base is the game here. (As it is, of course, with Democratic primary debates as well.)

It may sound batshit crazy to us, but the audience there seems to be lapping it up. And these guys are after a piece of that audience, not us. As for the so-called Independent or "swing" voters? I doubt all that many undecideds are even listening.

is asking everyone tough questions. Kasich and Christie have come off well. Everyone else meh.

Still, for professional clowns they are all doing pretty bad. Only one or two of them seem to have the ability to speak coherently.

Trump's wit appears more prominent than any policy gaffes.

Kasich comes across as pretty competent so far.

These thoughts are based on what's being asked. There really hasn't been many questions that differentiate D's & R's.
