When one owns a Golden Rolodex thanks to Daddy, all sorts of sweet stuff comes to you. Just ask Dubya.

3. I was willing to give MSNBC news all day format a chance

But several segments today discussing the Republican 'debate' had only Republican operatives, no Democratic or even ostensibly neutral political experts. I will NOT spend my day listening to Republicans. If I wanted to do that, I wouldn't have blocked Fox News Channel from my TVs.

I never even made it to 3 PM when I guess Luke Russert came on. Right now I'm {not} watching something called "The Real Story" about "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." I'm actually scanning slides, editing slides, waiting for a call back from tech support and reading DU - listed in order of priority, LOL.

There's little on cable that requires or demands full attention.

9. Sometimes there are programs worth watching

But those I mostly DVR so if I get distracted I can replay them. Informational programs often get watched while I am working on needlework, so long as they don't have subtitles. I abhor subtitles since I am not sitting with my eyes glued to the screen and miss most of what they have transcribed.

For instance, today Smithsonian Channel had a British produced series on the Roman invasion of Britain. Since my European history knowledge is woefully lacking I want to watch that carefully. I got to watch most of one segment of the three part series but was working through the other two parts. I DVRed all three parts and will watch them another day when I have less on my schedule.

His father was Tim Russet and Luke is very close to John Bohner. He is lousy at his job IMHO.

any longer. the main reason i had service was to catch msnbc and al jezeera. but direct changed my lineup and eliminated AJ. fine, i figured i could continue catch REAL news on msnbc. but not any longer. when i discontinue my service, (my contract ends in the fall) i am definitely telling them the reason. i will be shifting my funds to cover a higher and faster internet service so that i can actually stream REAL news. main stream media - fawk 'em.
