Amazon.com reviews

I was stumbling along over on Amazon.com looking at books. Came across something called Plunder and Deceit by Mark R. Levin.

The publisher's description sounds like so much nonsense, so I thought I would look at reviews.

There were only 79, but 94% were 5 star and 5% were 1 star with 1 3-star review.

If you look at the reviews, for and against, you see a perfect example of RW review trolling - is that even a phrase? Obvious partisans reviewing, and then you should see the piling on in the anti reviews. Listed as #1 in its categories.

Usually reviews are the great levelers, provided there are enough of them. But this kind of crap, and probably bulk purchases, discredit the system.

I'm not sure how much good it would do in an instance like this, but it might alert Amazon that something is not kosher.

I typically will review a movie after I watch it on amazon. I only wrote one book review that was a thriller. I enjoy the reviews and the good thing is anyone can review an item if they want to. Enjoy!
