Anybody else bummed that Jon Stewart's last show (Original Post) redstateblues Aug 2015 OP
Trevor Noah is going to get first crack at it, and much of the behind the scenes team remains Electric Monk Aug 2015 #1
Thanks for that. Hopefully he'll be great. I'm sure Jon has redstateblues Aug 2015 #4
Trevor was Jon's *first* pick, from what I've heard. nt Electric Monk Aug 2015 #9

I suggest watching him on comedians in cars getting coffee with Seinfeld. It's free to watch on Crackle. I think the show is in good hands. It's always strange when a fixture leaves. Letterman too.

The Bush years would have been even more unbearable without him to help us laugh at the absurdity of it all. He'll be sorely missed.

I am in complete denial about Jon leaving TDS. I will be lost every night at 11. Wishing his replacement much success but Jon's shoes will be mighty hard to fill.

He probably just can't talk about it now. This coming election is too rich in material for him to ignore.

to have the triumvirate of Stewart-Colbert-Olbermann during the Bush years. It's gonna be weird without them.

Yes, Colbert will be on late night. But he (reportedly) left behind the O'Reilly-based persona that informed his show. I look forward to his restyled brilliance.

I agree with previous sentiments. He got me through the Bush years. I also think we will see him again in some format.

maybe Stephen Colbert will help with the loss because he will air the same time as the Daily show. Stephens show starts September 6th.

I was also bummed that the Colbert Report is over. I always DVR'd both and watched in the morning while getting ready for work. This election won't be the same without them.
