Is tomorrow night? He's been there for four election cycles calling BS on Fox. Who is gonna fill his shoes?

(2,427 posts)I suggest watching him on comedians in cars getting coffee with Seinfeld. It's free to watch on Crackle. I think the show is in good hands. It's always strange when a fixture leaves. Letterman too.

(7,820 posts)The Bush years would have been even more unbearable without him to help us laugh at the absurdity of it all. He'll be sorely missed.

(9,999 posts)I am in complete denial about Jon leaving TDS. I will be lost every night at 11. Wishing his replacement much success but Jon's shoes will be mighty hard to fill.

(75,480 posts)He probably just can't talk about it now. This coming election is too rich in material for him to ignore.

(15,804 posts)to have the triumvirate of Stewart-Colbert-Olbermann during the Bush years. It's gonna be weird without them.
Yes, Colbert will be on late night. But he (reportedly) left behind the O'Reilly-based persona that informed his show. I look forward to his restyled brilliance.

(1,383 posts)I agree with previous sentiments. He got me through the Bush years. I also think we will see him again in some format.

(2,535 posts)maybe Stephen Colbert will help with the loss because he will air the same time as the Daily show. Stephens show starts September 6th.

(27,995 posts)I was also bummed that the Colbert Report is over. I always DVR'd both and watched in the morning while getting ready for work. This election won't be the same without them.

(32,975 posts)a lot. I am going to miss Stewart and I hope he continues to tour doing standup & I think I read he & his wife are setting up for a dog rescue (can't recall that source).
