Source: Metro UK
A man woke up to his wife asking why his computer was showing off a slideshow of eye-wateringly hard porn, after he upgraded to Windows 10.
He claims he upgraded to Windows 10 late at night, then woke up to his wife goggling at a screensaver of distinctly fruity images.
Writing on Reddit under the username FalloutBoS, he said, Woke up to wife asking why I set it to rotate all my porn images right on the desk top view.
I have no idea how to shut that feature off and that computer is staying shut down until I do.

(12,471 posts)The type that thinks that he knows it all, and when it comes down to it, just installs the OS without going through all the crap about it that is on the web. (In other words, he didn't RTFM).
I see this all the time, as a PC tech for the past 25 years!

For this to happen he had to have had his porn in his pictures folder or previously linked his porn to his pictures folder. Pretty stupid place to put your porn if you don't want someone to find it when looking at your computer.

(2,427 posts)Yes, make a sub folder inside your pictures directory called porn and put all yer stuff in there. This guy, what an amateur. Cheers!

(32,723 posts)It was the weekend so we unplugged EVERYTHING and laid the cords out flat in the hallway (several hundred) and rerouted them all nice and neat through the frames into labeled cables. Everything was going okay when his cell rang. It was the president of the company in a panic over his office computer. He had set it up for remote access over the weekend and couldn't connect. We dropped everything and identified his first for re-cabling and hooked it into the DSL. Then we told him he was all set to go. Next thing we know the guy is uploading files to his office computer to update his collection of girl on dog pictures (Or dog on girl, we just saw file names go by on the server logs.)
Needless to say, we could honestly say it was a ruff day.

(14,733 posts)Only time I ever accidentally stumbled across porn while trying to help someone with a computer problem was a young lady in one of my college classes who had lost a number of files and needed them undeleted. One of the ones that popped up was also a pic of a young lady and her obviously very male canine best friend... I was very quickly told that someone had sent it to her in an email as a 'joke'. Amazing how much porn is sent unsolicited...

(2,524 posts)I am always surprised that people think that their computers are places to keep their dark thoughts secrets when they are really windows on our private lives.
That said, I've already been burned by question, though less salacious, products. My son went to numerous free video game website. The result was a computer overwhelmed by malware, etc. I had to wipe everything and start anew. This happened while I was working on my taxes, just adding to the stress: our finances may have been completely compromised (luckily, there isn't much to take).

(16,191 posts)The Photos virtual folder is an aggregation of all photos found on the entire computer. It provides the owner with a single place to view all of their image files. The default screen saver for Windows, starting with Windows 8, is the photo slideshow. You can probably guess the default it pulls its source images from.
My wife's classroom aide found out that her fiancee was cheating almost the same way. He "hid" a folder with some nudes of a girl he was cheating with on his computer. The Photos tile on the Windows 8 desktop shows random photos from the folder as its tile background. Even though he'd hidden the folder, Windows 8 found it and included the images into the Photos virtual folder. When she sat down on her fiancees computer and opened his Start screen, the Photos tile was showing a pic of her fiancee and the girl he was cheating with. She clicked it and found a lot more.
No more fiancee.

(10,201 posts)I place one picture in the folder.
I then track access to who looks at it. I swear, it's like any time I have our support team look at it, the first place they look is in my pictures folders and then there. Because, yes, the reason I can print is because of what's in my pictures folder.
BTW... Here is the picture I place in the folder:
