Trump is such a clown that he can potentially bring the Republican party down once and for all. That's basically the opposite of what the Kochs are trying to do. Their goal is to control government behind the scenes by keeping a low profile. But hoping that one enemy will take care of another enemy is a strategy fraught with peril. (See Afghan-Soviet War).
