Final Update: Goal has been reached!

Sorry I've been slow on the uptake here. I haven't been this sick since 1973. I am so grateful for the kindness and generosity of people here. Selling my car was a learning experience. It was a Toyota 5-speed and it turns out people rarely drive a stick shift anymore. I almost feel lucky I was able to sell it at all. My sense of survival far outweighs attachment to material goods, and I am so grateful DU helped me through this. I thank you with all my heart.

I am also glad that some people that don't like me have been moved to help TTW. This board is funny like that. There had been quite a lull in how much help this board was willing to give her and I am glad to have helped albeit in a roundabout way in that regard.

This is a pop-in; for the short term, I will be moving from bed to my desk to work back to bed, repeat. See ya when I'm feeling better. Cheers.

Long time community member in need of a little help. I know it was probably hard for you to do this.

I am currently bleeding money like crazy but there is no doubt in my mind you need the help so I will happily kick in what I can afford.

Hope it helps get you through this. Only wish you had put this out there before selling the armoire. My heart breaks for you to have had to do that.

26. Good morning. I've updated and want to thank everyone for their generosity.

I'm headed to the doctor right now, probably needing antibiotics. I have a kickass case of the flu reminiscent of the London flu epidemic of 1973. Ugh. I still have to work, so I'll be going from desk to bed, bed to desk, etc. That's one of the many perks about working at home. I will continue to update today.
