[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]I find this article scary and amusing all at once. It seems to me that this christianist author has been into one of my favorite books: Blasphemy, a 2007 novel by Douglas Preston. Some of his phraseology is almost plagaristic. I just re-read the book recently, so it's very fresh in my mind.
This "investigative reporter," who works for Jim Bakker, is blending the roles of the two primary antagonists - one a televangelist and the other a dedicated missionary. The first is cultivating media attention (Hello, Mr. Drew!) as well as his own political and financial ambitions, while the other is a true believer but also insane (Hello, Mr. Drew?).
It's really a riveting story, accentuating fundamentalist religious fanaticism versus scientific research. I highly recommend it for both entertainment and fascinating insights.
I wonder if Mr. Drew's focus on the Hadron collider could result in an ending similar to the book's.... That would sure make news!
Anyway, here's the article that inspired my little spiel:
Christian author: Insane machine Large Hadron Collider is the new Tower of Babel that will destroy us all.

(489 posts)reasonably well, yet so ignorant or childish that he uses logic of a child to present the material.

Stupidity like this should hurt, like a 2 x 4 to the back of the skull hurts.
