"Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force" (non-gov't related) vs "Oxford Wildlife Conservation Unit"

Differing reports coming out of these two groups regarding the possible death of Jericho (if he's Cecil's brother or not.)

The first says Jericho was killed today the other denies it, or questions it (just because his collar is "moving around" doesn't mean they (the killers) aren't dragging his carcass about.)

I did a bit of research on the Task Force and they seem to have a history of keeping a wary eye on Zimbabwe and their sending (selling?) wild animals to zoos all over the world so I can't imagine they are very popular down there with either the government or the Oxford group.

Not sure how the Oxford group fits in here in terms of the politics involved. There is that relationship between the Brits and Rhodesia, of course. If they have a sinecure down there I can see how they would want to support the powers that be in order to stay in their favor.

I'm sure Zimbabwe would like to get out of the glare of the world spotlight on them regarding the murder of Cecil and NOT have Jericho be killed, also.

Who was paid the 55k for the dentist's trip? Was this a government authorized guided hunting trip? If the money goes straight to the guides does the government get a kickback?
