None of the contestants on Jeopardy knew the Final Jeopardy answer.

Anderson Cooper and Nora ODonnell were two of the contestants.

It had to do with the inventor inducted into the hall of fame for inventions and was an invention that brought success in the south. I suppose the clue part that stumped them was that he went out of business 5 years later.

Correct response was "Who was Eli Whitney"

Nora's answer was G W Carver. Cooper's wasn't readable and don't remember what it was. Tom ?? didn't have a response.

None of them guessed Whitney!!! Geesh!!

I saw it Monday with Tweety. I really wanted to see Dana Perino fail, but I forgot about it. I'll have to watch it tonight. Still 5pm out here

A major road here is Whitney Avenue. He was a big Yalie.

Anybody who is sentient and living in New Haven knows who Whitney is cuz his Museum hosts so many events by all kinds of organizations...and it is on a main drag in town...

Yup! I agree. These young, whipper-snappers don't know shit.

I don't get Jeopardy here. No cable and few broadcast channels. I watch Millionaire and am astounded at the ignorance from allegedly smart people.

Sigh! I guess age has its worth.
