Confederate Controversy Sparks Changes at North Texas High School

... South Garland High has stopped waving Confederate flags at football games, taken the Confederate flag out of its school logo and changed its mascot’s uniform from Confederate Grey to Union blue. Garland ISD spokesman Chris Moore said “We are a minority-majority school now. We are here to unite, not divide.”

That's uniting?

Texas students, never the strongest in language arts.

May I suggest "the Lions", instead? Or "the Teal"--then they could use either just the color or the bird as their mascot.
