A weekend headline in a newspaper that once backed Walker read: "Scott Walker’s statements not always in line with actions."

No kidding? What was your first clue?

An editorial in another newspaper that backed Walker initially and that dismissed efforts to hold him to account recently declared that Walker is "the most divisive Wisconsin politician in living memory." That's quite a pronouncement in a state where a lot of us remember Joe McCarthy as a rather divisive politician.

We recognize what is happening. Now that the national media have begun to pick apart Walker's record, Wisconsin publications that once backed him recognize that they must treat the governor a bit more skeptically.
