was just the BEST Italian hole-in-the-wall pizzeria/pasteria in ALL of Manhattan, IMHO. They closed a few years back, sadly, but it was my go-to lunch spot, rain or shine.

That's a part of the city I don't know well, but I'm surprised to hear there was a good pie that far west.

in cold weather, the heavier entrée, chicken cannelloni, which was a kind of cordon bleu - seasoned chicken bits wrapped in ham, wrapped in cannelloni, and covered with a white sauce. Gained about 50 pounds from eating that every winter, lol. Was across the street from the Barnes & Noble, up 6th from Old Navy, the Limelight, etc.
