Sanchez asks several times whether the victim is breathing, and the caller says, "He's barely breathing. How many times do I have to f---ing tell you?"
Sanchez is heard responding, "OK, you know what, ma'am? You can deal with yourself, I'm not going to deal with this, OK?" The caller pleads, "No, my friend is dying! I " and the line disconnects.

(60,336 posts)What needs to be investigated? All the evidence is recorded, the operator obviously does not know how to handle people in extreme distress.

(22,336 posts)1. People in emergency situations sometimes get really upset.
2. You have to be able to deal with people who are really upset and not take it personally to work with people in emergency situations.
If his death is at all a result of the 911 dispatcher's behavior, then there needs to be some kind of reponse due to malpractice.
