While we are doing appreciation threads, how about one for Kentuck?

Kentuck was one of the few DUers when I first arrived here, who made sense to me. So I have followed his posts for more than a decade now. I don't always agree with him, but whatever he said was intelligent, well thought out and well written. I will truly miss Kentuck.

Personally, I am finding it to be increasingly difficult to participate in a constructive, honest dialogue in search of political truths.
Rather, too many people seem hell bent on asserting their narcissistic attacks upon anyone who sets forth ideas. Instead of searching of right answers, the "egoists" try to achieve psychological ascendency over other posters.

As much as we butt heads here, I still am very fond of most people. Over the 10 years I've been here, my politics have made a 180 and as a result I've lost and made friends. It's too bad our discourse gets so heated, there's no coming back from it, or so it seems. I just wish people wouldn't take stuff personally. I miss many of those that have departed, voluntarily or otherwise.
