RE: Two Florida boys lost at sea.

Would this story be the lead on NBC Nightly News and prominent on most other MSM outlets including interviews with their mothers if these two boys were minority kids from a poor neighborhood without a sugar daddy generous benefactor like Joe Namath?

I live near Tampa. I don't think this has anything to do with race, and everything to do djean111 Jul 2015 #1

with celebrity. It would be a lead if any famous NFL player was involved. Kids of all races get lost on the water and do not make it past the local news, unless it is a slow news day.

I personally don't think the race of children has anything to do with it.

I hope they are found safe.

cant some people just see it as the probable loss of life of two young boys? Why try to start bringing race into this.

Silly little kids (and parents) thinking they have mastered the mighty ocean ...

Nature wins nearly every single time ... Let's just hope they are found like we hope EVERY child is safe and sound ...

the ocean will chew you up and swallow you or spit you out. At 14 years old there just isn't enough sea smarts to beat her, and at 95 there probably isn't either.

I have a very strong feeling this will not end well.

two 14 year old boys, doing something dangerous that they had been warned not to do, and disaster strikes. Mark Twain wouldn't have been surprised at all.

my prayers and sympathy are with the families, and the boys. It is a miracle that any of us make it through the teen years in one piece.
